This is the part of the website where I am supposed to tell you all sorts of things about my medical training and background. While those things might be interesting to some, there is something about me that nearly everyone I meet wants to know.
The single most common question I am asked is how many kids do I have.
Seven.
I’m a father to seven incredible, creative, imaginative, and sometimes infuriating, kids.
My wife and I have four kids of our own, but then we decided to adopt three kids from China. Our home is crazy. People often ask me what Christmas is like in our house. Forget Christmas, every single day is busy and loud and nonstop. But it is good.
So yes, I have been performing anterior total hip replacement for over three years. And yes I have performed the surgery hundreds of times. And yes I am board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. And yes, I did graduate medical school at the University of Louisville. And, although I consider hip replacement my area of expertise, I also perform shoulder and knee replacement surgery.
During my free time, which as you can guess isn’t really much time at all, I enjoy being with my family, playing sports with my kids, watching my daughter perform in plays and dance, reading books to my kids, running, and reading books to myself.
